Shoes I run in: the most comfortable and the shoes I can find on the way out the door!
Favourite running surface: Hills, flat, sand, snow, downhill, .....
Some ultras I have completed: Hot Ass 50K Calgary, Frozen Ass 50 Calgary, Garanaska Mountain Man x 2 (Alberta), St Donat 100 km, Damn Tuff Bluff Run, Frozen Flag 99/00
PB times:
Best Performances: Hot Ass 50: 1st, Mountain Man: 2nd
Ultra achievement I am most proud of: The ability to move this much mass over 100km.
Ultras I haven't done but really want to: 6 hour and 24 hour. Comrades.
Typical training week: Day: Run to work. Lunch time run. Run Home. Sat: Speed work. Sun: 3-4 hour run
Injuries: 1999: Dislocated tarsal (foot) x 2.  1999 was, in general, a painful year.
Favourite ultra foods: Everything except PowerBars (nothing personal)
Favourite ultra beverages: Power Gel and Gatorade, Water
Things I like most about ultras: The other runners are great. Each time we race/run with each other we put our pride on the shelf. It's a true test of character.
Things I hate most about ultras: My body can't do enough of them. Not enough time throughout the year.
What got me started doing ultras: Wanted to run longer on the weekends.
Why I do ultras:
Favourite ultra quote: "You're only hurting yourself". A club saying if one does not show up for a run.
