Typical training week:  This changes depending on my race schedule.  Usually I end my season with a long race in Septemeber and then take a break for a few months, concentrating on recovery and increasing strength.  I added regular strength training to my training program in 2007.
Injury history:  ITB pain, shin splints, tight hip flexors
Favourite ultra foods:  WATERMELON!! (I eat tons of it), maple sandwich cookies, and plain salted potato chips.
Favourite ultra beverages: E-Load, mocha (or chocolate) flavoured soy milk, and Piranha (energy drink for during the night).
Things I like most about ultras:  The encouraging runners along the way, the soft trails, definitely the challenge, and the buckle!
Things I hate most about ultras:
The cost of traveling to races.
What got me started doing ultras:  My husband.  But after meeting all of the amazing runners that do these races, I wanted to become one of them.
Ultra hero:  Ann Trason
Ultra quote: "Obsessed: how the lazy describe the dedicated."  "You know you're an ultra runner when you seriously consider installing handicap bars in the bathroom."
