None of the above were for times but how I felt in the last kilometers. Ultra achievements: 5 Norm Patenaude awards Ultra I would like to do but haven't yet: All the ones I have not done yet. Typical training week: There has been nothing typical this past year.I run as much as I can, the year's average is probably only 30k/week. When things are good I put in 70k/week Injury history: Broken toe, finger, rib. Sprained ankles and wrist. Bruised ego. Most recently depression, which hurts more than all the others. Favourite ultra foods: everything served at Deiter and Vince's aid station, and everything served at George and Peggy's Favourite ultra beverages: At aid stations water, at finish lines Beer Things I like most about ultras: Companionship, and how far it can take you away from the every day. Things I like most about trails: the smell of dirt in the spring Things I hate most about ultras: The fact that time and money can stop you from getting there. Things I hate most about trails: rain in the spring, it ruins the good smell of dirt. What got me started doing ultras: Gord Harthun, I don't know if I should love him or curse him Ultra heroes: There are too many to mention. If you have done even one OUS event you're probably on the list. You don't have to run fast, just run. Favourite ultra quote: "This is my worst time ever" - Patricia Sommers.
