Running achievement
I am most proud of:
Ran Creemore 25K in 2 feet of snow (try it!)
Event I would like to do: That
damned Damn Tuff 50K...
Typical training week: 4 -
5 days per week. Long run: 25 - 35, weekly
total: 50 - 70 K
Injury history: Played
rugby... Right arm has not been injured (except 1 broken finger).
Favourite event foods:
Garlic bread with cheese whiz and hot cayenne pepper dipped
in maple syrup.
Favourite event beverages: Water
(see food above)
Things I like most about trail runs:
Allows you and your running friends to do really stupid
things year round and then recover. Non-runners would try to
talk you out of it.
Things I hate most about trail running:
Recovering
What got me started doing ultra runs:
Tried Ganaraska 25K, found it nearly impossible and decided I
belonged with the group a crazy people doing the loop twice...
Running
heroes: Victor Hickey, Paul Jewell and Lee
Anne Cohen (this may come in handy
later)
Favourite running quote: "Creemore
doesn't have any of those annoying flat stretches." -Mike Lazenby,
looking for something positive to say about the proposed course.
