The 7th Annual
Ontario Ultra Series
Final Standings for the 1995 Series

Standings at the completion of the nine race series with results from the Ganaraska 50 Miler, Sulphur Springs 50 Km Trail Run, Kingston 6 Hour, Niagara 100km, 50 Mile, 50Km, Haliburton 50 Mile, 50 Km, Bruce Trail Survival 33 Km Trail Run, Halfway Lake 51 Km Trail Run, Ottawa 24 Hour, and the Slough of Despond 50 Km Road Race.

In the Men Under 50, Ron Gehl stormed back to retake his title of 1992 and 1993, cracking the 1500 barrier for the first time in the Series history.

Helen Malmberg became the first midpacker to win the Women under 50 Division, on the strength of her 6 completed events, barely edging out speedster Jane Ballantyne at the last event of the year.

The Men's 50+ Division was reconquered by Paul DeBiasi in a rubber match with Jim Moses.  DeBiasi won it in 1991 and 1992, and Moses 1993 and 1994.  The competition in this division continues to heat up as both exceeded the record number of points for this division.

And Bernice Goy repeated in the Women's 50+ division.

Total participation in the Series was slightly ahead of last year as growth continues.  Although attendance was marginally lower at Niagara, Haliburton, Ottawa, and the Slough, it was more than offset by increased numbers at the other events, plus the net addition of one more event to the Series.

The total number of runners at all races was 1,867 over 1,708 in 1994, and total individual runners was 248 over 233 in 1994.
